Stealth UAV

Aircraft design and supporting analysis tools

Aircraft design project2026–present

This project centers on the design and development of a stealth UAV. As the aircraft work progressed, I needed supporting tools for inspecting geometry and examining simulation output. I created FieldForge to help address that need, making software development one part of the larger aircraft project.

The aircraft project

The aircraft concept drives the work. I’m developing its geometry and working through the design questions that arise as the concept takes shape. Modeling and simulation support that process, alongside the development of the tools needed to carry it forward.

This connects two areas of engineering work: the vehicle itself and the analysis environment used to study it. FieldForge grew out of the needs of the UAV project and continues to develop as a supporting tool.

FieldForge — a supporting analysis tool

I created FieldForge as a Python-based workspace for 3D model inspection, numerical calculations, and visualization. Within the UAV project, it brings aircraft geometry and simulated radar-response analysis into a common environment.

My work on the tool includes both the numerical routines and the interface used to inspect their output. Keeping geometry, model assumptions, and results connected helps me investigate unexpected behavior and identify where the model or software needs further development.

Current status

The UAV and its supporting tools remain in development. FieldForge’s solver and visualization foundation is in place, while numerical development and predictive validation are ongoing. Simulation output is being used as development material, not as proof of demonstrated aircraft performance.
